I Work Out.

I work out. Sometimes.  I've been really good about it lately, but it seems to come in spurts and depends on what is happening that day/week. The last two weeks have been great. I never know how long it is going to last.

Am I the ONLY one who loves workout clothing? I mean, even I'm not actually working out, I feel like I've just completed a marathon.

I have about 8 pairs of running shorts. All of which have a bit of different fit to them. You'd think that running shorts would be more uniformed.

Obsessed? Maybe. I love love love to buy running shorts.

My favorite running shorts are from Old Navy. You can find them here.

Recently, I bought a pair of Newton running shoes. I am in love with them. I was having some serious shin splints. They were painful. My new shoes make me feel like I am running on pillows.

Not the hottest looking shoes and not the easiest to color coordinate with. Yes, I'm totally that girl that likes to match her outfit with her shoes. I totally feel like a slob otherwise but when I'm running... I don't match.

What's on your workout clothing wish list? I have the basics, but there are some more expensive items I would love to own.

Capris from HOT PANTS.

Gut Buster Running Jacket from Lululemon.

Judgy Moms.

WARNING! Please make sure you are wearing your big girl panties before reading this. If you need to step away to find them, please do it. I will not apologize for my views or words in my thoughts to follow. This is aimed at no one specifically and if you take offense to this then you did not heed my warning and put on your big girl panties. OKAY?!

I am totally one of those judgy moms. (Hey, the first step is admitting right?) I said I would never be one, but I totally am. Before you start cursing me or telling me you will pray for me - please know that I KNOW that you judge too. Because the truth is we all do. I'm not saying it's right, I'm just stating the simple fact that we all do.

Why being a judgy mom sucks...
I have an opinion about EVERYTHING. You may not even ask for it, but you will hear it. I may not have the all the answers or even the right answers - but I will make my thoughts known.

Here's the problem, I have a handful of momma-friends who parent like me. And a whole 'nother group who parent the opposite of me. I love them both the same, but yet I still judge.

If you gave your child a bottle past the age of 1 - I judged you.

If you turned your child forward facing just because he/she hit the height/weight requirement at the age of 1 - I judged you.

If you gave your child a cup full of juice without watering it down - I judged you.

If your child ALWAYS misbehaves, whether or not you are around - I judged you.

If you chose to co-sleep - I judged you.

If you refuse to let your child cry (when there is OBVIOUSLY nothing wrong with him/her - I TOTALLY judged you.

Why? Because I'm judgy mom. And the best part of being a judgy mom? I can tell you that I don't approve and you still love me. WHY?

People. Do. Not. Always. Agree.

So what do you do? Agree to disagree. Who Cares!

My point to this cluster of a post, is that no matter what you choose to do with your children, it doesn't matter, because in the grand scheme of things they are YOUR children and it's your life. So if you choose to wake up every hour to feed your child who clearly doesn't need to be fed in the middle of the night - then that's your choice. And I'll support you either way. :)

Because you know what? I am judged daily as well .. I let my twins CIO and believe in the Baby Wise program. (Here it comes, "Shut up, she let her kids CIO?!?!?! OhMyGosh...") We started discipline and teaching our boys the fundamentals of what is right and wrong when they could understand words and actions. AND I work part-time outside of the home. My children are in some form of childcare 20 plus hours a week. Judge me. It doesn't bother me. What is right for our family isn't always right for other families.

Cheers to all the Mommas out there... judgy or not.

Mommy Rant

I hate teething. Is it too much to ask that kids be born with all their adult teeth? I mean c'mon, the drooling, snot, and crankiness is SO annoying. I won't even comment about the poop. (Oops, I just did... )

Do you have a picture painted in your head yet of my sweet teething boys?
If not, let me share... Here is my sweet, sweet, Kaleb.
Totally happy about his teeth, as you can see.

Kamren is cutting tooth #3 and #4 and Kaleb is cutting #2 and #3. I am constantly wiping up drool and snot. And if I don't get it in time, no big deal ... they've learned to wipe it on me. Seriously. It's disgusting. Did I mention, that I walked around with dried snot on my trousers at the Y the other day for like two hours before I noticed it. It's a great addition to my wardrobe. NOT.

Sleep training. Err, should I say re-training. My boys have been good sleepers, I would even venture out to say amazing sleepers. They've always taken good (scheduled naps) and slept 12 hours at night since they were 7 weeks old. (Thank you Baby Wise!) Teething has brought a whole mess of sleep issues with it. Nights that involve constant wake-ups due to pain. Pain that not even Motrin, Tylenol, or Teething Tablets seems to help with. Needless to say, I'm exhausted & totally over teething.

I will be SO HAPPY once they have all of their teeth. Until then, I will accept sympathy gifts in the form of wine and vodka. I know you feel sorry for me.

Hello World.

It's hard to believe that I've been holding on to an empty blog for over a year. You'll learn throughout this blog that one of the many reasons it took me so long to start it up is because I have the most handsome, smartest, chubbiest, funniest 13 month old identical twin boys. They take up a lot of my time. Well that ... and I think I was just being lazy.

I'm not a lazy person, really - I just usually stretch myself too thin. Something I'm currently working on.

My husband has been telling me to write my blog for months. I had a reason for not doing it every time he brought it up. They were legit. Really.

My best friend, Brittany over at BMcAnally Photography designed my blog for me. She's a creative genius. She's also an amazing photographer. Check out my Meet Kayla photo, she took that ... back when she was a newbie photographer, now she's a bigwig even more amazing. Seriously.

What A Cluster ... I'm sure you are wondering, WHY? Well, my dear friend Stephanie and I have this amazing friendship. She's like the big sister I never got to have. We tend to be snotty and use bad language while together. During one of our many conversations, she replied with "Girl, it was a total cluster (insert f-bomb here)." And there you have it... total inspiration for my blog.

My life is crazy! In the past year and a half it's been full of ups & downs & in between moments. I wouldn't have it any other way though. It's made me who I am and it's totally going to make this blog rock.

What can you expect from this blog? You can expect it to be amazing, full of laughter (hopefully), probably some tears, and definitely a cluster of fun.

Just a little of what you might see:
  • rants about being a mom. duh.
  • being a military spouse.
  • multiples.
  • family & friends.
  • photos.
  • fitness. maybe... I really need to loose 15 pounds. Cheer me on?!
  • my journey with God.
  • recipes & cooking.
  • crafting.
  • the Y.
  • hair. nails. makeup. clothing. shoes. accessories.
